There’s plenty to unpick from Tottenham’s starting line-up but the headline news is that James Maddison has been dropped to the bench in one of five changes by Ange Postecoglou.
The England international has been out of form in recent weeks so Dejan Kulusevski looks set to play in the number 10 role, with Richarlison brought in for Maddison.
Two changes are enforced with Ben Davies and Timo Werner both injured so Emerson Royal and Brennan Johnson come in.
The other two changes are in midfield with Yves Bissouma and Pape Sarr starting ahead of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Rodrigo Bentancur, who both drop to the bench.
Chelsea make one enforced change from the 2-2 draw with Aston Villa as Alfie Gilchrist comes in at right-back, with the injured Thiago Silva dropping out. Trevoh Chalobah will move across to centre-back.
Chelsea’s injury issues are clear when looking at their bench, which is dominated by untested young players and academy products, with Axel Disasi joining their lengthy injury list along with Silva.
Cole Palmer starts as he looks to become only the second Premier League player to score hat-tricks in three consecutive home games after Erling Haaland.
