It is extremely unfortunate that so much misinformation is spread about Hughes. The entire information in the first paragraph under “Howard Hughes: Net Worth” is incorrect. Neither of his wives nor William Lummis inherited anything and Melvin Dummar also received nothing. Hughes died without a will and his estate was shared by his relatives. Hughes Aircraft had previously been conveyed to The Howard Hughes Medical Institute. These facts are published in so many laces i am astonished that anyone would be so far afield. I was one of Hughes’ personal secretaries and laterCorporate Secretary of The Howard Hughes Corporation. Please refer to the book by Barlett & Steele titled “Empire” for facts – and please stop circulating such bad misinformation! Paul B. Winn
