“Eedris Abdulkareem wouldn’t like this” – Reactions as Burna Boy reveals the names of artists who paved way for him in the industry (Video)

Burna Boy speaks how 2baba impacted his life

Grammy award-winning singer Damini Ogulu, better known as Burna Boy, has caused a stir online as he reveals the names of artists who paved way for him in the industry.

In an Instagram Live, he disclosed that 2baba, Timaya, Dbanj, Larry Gaga and Wande Coal are the only veterans he respected in the music industry. He stressed that they were the only legends tremendously impacting his life and career.

He said: “The only OGs who have impacted my life, number one, Timaya because he is the one who showed me that achieving stardom was possible. I’m going to respect him for the rest of my life.

D’banj also supported me back then. He paid for the ‘Wan Da Mo’ video. These are two people I don’t joke with. It’s not like nggas don’t have respect; no, nggas have just been through a lot, and we only remember the people we saw in the dark times. People like Larry Gaaga. He stood by me back then. So, these are people I will respect for the rest of my life.

When you’re talking about OGs, as far as I’m concerned, those names are the only ones in addition to 2Face based on musicality and the fact that he did a feature with me when he didn’t have to back in the day. These are OGs to me. Any other person isn’t an OG to me. ID Cabasa, you can meet Olamide, and you can be an OG to him [laughs]. We’ve all been through stuff differently, and we all see life differently.

I can’t forget Wande Coal, too. At a point in time, we were so close.”

His statement left many noting how Eedris AbdulKareem whom he had a beef with months back, wouldn’t be pleased with his statement

One Gtee Properties Official wrote, “Burna Boy, I know pride will not allow you to mention Davido, but we all know

One James Useghan wrote, “You see that Timaya guy, he has a very good side with people. Always wanting people to shine

One It’s Kunle Real wrote, “Eedris Abdulkareem wouldn’t like this

One I Am D Bull wrote, “Timaya is really underrated; many people have talked about how he helped them.

One Bitcoin Chief wrote, “Never hide who helps you”.

Recall that Burna Boy and Eedris Abdulkareem traded words online after Eedris slammed Burna over a statement he made years back, claiming that none of his senior colleagues had prepared him for success.

Eedris described his statement as a stup! talk as he claimed that he was the one who spearheaded the revolution that led to the global recognition of Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, and other artists, especially after he clashed with 50Cent.

Burna Boy hit back at him, blaming the people who donated money for his hospital bills last year, and Eedris clapped back, poking fun at his inability to have a child.

Reacting to his statement of paving the way for artists, Odumodublvck stated that no one paved the way for them; their hustling spirit got them to the top. He, however, stated that though one can be inspired, no one paved the way for another, as such credit is for God.

Nigerian rappers Ice Prince and Skibii also made a mockery of Eedris with a video that went viral online.

Meanwhile, Jaywon noted that Eedris made many contributions to the industry, which he wasn’t applauded for because of his arrogance. He stated that he sees the same in Burna Boy as he noted how what goes around comes around.
