Veekee James shares her grass to grace story.

Celebrity fashion designer Veekee James was all in her in feelings, when she shared the humble beginnings of her life, as an aspiring fashion designer.

In a feature by CNN, Veekee James was able to tell her story, and trace back her roots to the humble abode, where she lived with her mother.

Veekee James narrated how she started making clothes in her mother’s living room, up until when she moved to Akwa Ibom to attend college.

The celebrity fashion designer said that she was able to move her mother out of their old apartment into a new one in the year 2020.

Veekee James went on to talk about the design program that she was currently hosting, which showed just how much she has grown.

At the end of the feature, Veekee James showed appreciation to her friend Tomike, who she said patronized her a lot, and due to the fact that she had a growing audience already, it helped to boost her career as a designer.

Veekee James is currently one of the most sought after fashion designers in Nigeria, with a portfolio containing dresses for celebrities like Osas Ighodaro, Uche Montana, and a host of other top shots in the entertainment industry.

One of the styles Veekee James is known for when it comes to design is her invisible corsets. These corsets are styled in such a way that you don’t see the form of the corset sitting underneath the dress or top.

She has clearly mastered her craft, and has made a name for herself. In the recent online drama between Ghanaian socialite Nana Akauddo and her fashion designer over her AMVCA dress, Veekee James shared her two cents, advising designers not to lose touch with the value of her craft.

She shared how when she first started out, some celebrities wanted to pay her less in the name of exposure, but she stood her ground, and today, many of them want to work with her.
