Veteran Nollywood actor Jide Kosoko is the latest celebrity to celebrate his junior colleague, Kehinde Bankole, following her AMVCA win.

Kemi Filani reported on Saturday that Kehinde Bankole had won the Best Lead Actress for her lead role in Adire at the just concluded 10th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards.

Taking to his Instagram page to celebrate her, Jide Kosoko noted how the award was long overdue. He noted how she had worked hard for it, hence why she deserved the award. He admonished her to keep shining.

“This award is overdue. You deserve this; you have worked for it. Continue to shine baby girl”.

On Sunday, following her win, Toyin Abraham couldn’t withhold her happiness for Kehinde Bankole as she serenaded her, hailing her. She declared the movie star the best actress in Africa and expressed pride in her.

Sharing the video online, Kehinde expressed love for her, as she described Toyin as her friend with a fine face who loves to play too much.

Lilian Afegbai also couldn’t stop herself from crying for joy as she celebrated Kehinde, expressing how happy she was for her as she stated that it had been long overdue for the movie star.

In other news, Bankole had hinted at a personal struggle as she shared a cryptic post via her Instagram page revealing that she had been battling an unspecified personal issue that had worsened by the day.

Giving an update to it, Kehinde noted how it’s okay for one to share the not-so-cool part of their lives with the public. The delectable screen goddess revealed her struggle as she stated that she was putting her shyness aside to receive encouragement from her fans.
