“He linked up with him for clout, now it has backfired” – Mix reactions as Davido unfollows Portable again for dragging him
Nigerian Afrobeat singer Davido has reacted after his junior colleague, Portable mercilessly dragged for giving him bad advice in the US.
Kemi Filani reported that a week after Davido treated him to a dinner date and gifted him a luxury shoe, Portable took to his Instagram Live to blast the singer. He claimed Davido gave him bad advice during their linkup. He noted how the music star is signed to Sony Music, yet told him not to sign to the label but should rather sign to Empire and collect advance. He stated that the same Grammy Davido is chasing, he is also chasing it.
Many blamed Davido for linking up with the controversial singer as they noted how he never makes peace with anyone.
Following this, Davido has unfollowed the singer. Kemi Filani checked his Instagram page and noticed that at the time of reporting, Davido was no longer following the controversial singer.

After Portable’s dinner with Davido, he accused Zlatan Ibile of attempting to create tension between him and Davido. He claimed that while together in Atlanta, Zlatan called Davido and warned him to “behave himself” around Portable. Expressing disappointment in him, he warned Zlatan to stay out of his business.
Portable had also set the record straight on his featured song with Davido’s rival, Dammy Krane. He pleaded with those trying to instigate Davido against him not to ruin their relationship, as he called the music star His helper.
Portable’s relationship with Davido has been tumultuous over the years. Recall that in 2022, Davido and Portable fell off after Portable supported his uncle’s political rival. Portable had backed Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and Davido, on the other hand, supported Ademola Adeleke, his uncle and eventual winner of the poll.
Angered by his action, Davido had unfollowed him on Instagram, and Portable had slammed the singer for his action. Their beef didn’t last long as Davido reconciled with him after he publicly apologised to him and re-followed him.
