Controversial Nigerian singer Portable is at it again, and this time, he is dragging his helper, Davido, who he had dinner with a week back.
It seems the dinner date didn’t go well for Portable, who took to his Instagram Live to blast the singer. He claimed Davido gave him bad advice during their linkup. He noted how the music star is signed to Sony Music, yet told him not to sign to the label but should rather sign to Empire and collect advance.
He stated that the same Grammy Davido is chasing, he is also chasing it.
“You are signed to Sony Music, but you’re giving me bad advice in America to get signed to Empire & collect advance. The same Grammy you’re chasing is what I’m also chasing”.
Many blamed Davido for linking up with the controversial singer as they noted how he never makes peace with anyone.

Kemi Filani reported a week back that Davido granted Portable’s wish by treating him to a dinner at a luxury restaurant in Atlanta. The ‘Jowo’ crooner even went as far as presenting Portable with a luxury sneaker and others.
Following the dinner, Portable had accused Zlatan Ibile of attempting to create tension between him and Davido. He claimed that while together in Atlanta, Zlatan called Davido and warned him to “behave himself” around Portable. Expressing disappointment in him, he warned Zlatan to stay out of his business.
Portable had also set the record straight on his featured song with Davido’s rival, Dammy Krane. He pleaded with those trying to instigate Davido against him not to ruin their relationship, as he called the music star His helper.
Portable’s relationship with Davido has been tumultuous over the years. Recall that in 2022, Davido and Portable fell off after Portable supported his uncle’s political rival. Portable had backed Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and Davido, on the other hand, supported Ademola Adeleke, his uncle and eventual winner of the poll.
Angered by his action, Davido had unfollowed him on Instagram, and Portable had slammed the singer for his action. Their beef didn’t last long as Davido reconciled with him after he publicly apologised to him and re-followed him.
