Media personality and actress Stephanie Coker Aderinokun has opened up on her battle with PCOS and IVF.

In an interview with Chude Jideonwo, she revealed that she almost killed herself after her second IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) failed. According to her, she had spent over $40,000 and had traveled to Los Angeles for an IVF operation last year, which unfortunately failed. She further disclosed that after the failed IVF she called her friend and started inquiring about the baby and felt the baby rejected her.

She disclosed that IVF was the only option for her because of her diagnosis of PCOS – a condition that leeds her to bleeding so much that she fainted last year and has to be rushed to the hospital. She stated that she was confīned to a wheelchair and at one point, she had to sleep outside in the garden because the internal heat was too much.

To worsen things, that same year, her husband lost his elections which was held in the face of intense public scrutiny.

This isn’t the first time, Stephanie is speaking out on her battle with IVF. In 2020, a year after welcoming her first child, she revealed that she and her husband did IVF to get their child and narrated the procedures she underwent.

She shared a very private and detailed video on her Instagram that captured the moment she took the IVF procedures, her pregnancy journey down to how she had her daughter.

Actress, Biola Bayo, who welcomed her first child last year, through surrogacy, narrated her painful journey in order to experience motherhood. Bayo revealed she had a failed IVF, one cancelled surrogate circle, and three failed surrogate attempts within two years before she was blessed with her son.
