Cubana Chief Priest hails Flavour

Nigerian businessman Cubana Chief Priest has given flowers to award-winning Afrobeat singer Chinedu Okoli, better known by his stage name, Flavour.

On his Instagram page, Cubana described Flavour’s sold-out London show as a legendary night, which he considers a moment for the culture.

He expressed how proud he was of his much Flavour had exported their expensive and amazing Ugbo culture to the world.

Everything On The Lines I Said When I Removed My Chieftaincy Cap Came From The Depth Of My Fat Heart, Ijele I’m So Proud Of How Much You Have Exported Our Expensive & Amazing Igbo Culture To The World. Fa Ga Ekwete Na Ona Eme”.

When Flavour lost his father in May, Chief Priest had sent a condolence message to him. The best friend of Davido told the singer to cry no more as he stated that his father was in a better place. To comfort him, I informed him that he and others, who he described as Big Ballers, were coming to Umunze.

Flavour has no doubt come a long way. In 2022, he made headlines after reports claimed he had bagged a multi-million naira dollar deal with Amazon Prime. He received a 3 million dollar advance payment for his biopic on Amazon Prime.

In a recent interview, the Highlife singer shared some candid moments about his views on whether he can be classified as an Afrobeats artist or not. He said his genre of music is ‘African’ music, and as such, he can be categorized under Afrobeats.

The singer said the African entertainment scene needs to push forward other genres, as there was too much focus on Afrobeats. He also said that Afrobeats should just be categorized as being part of Afrobeats, as there’s so much more that Africa has to offer.
