Nollywood actress Genoveva Umeh took to Instagram to celebrate winning the AMVCA award category for Best Supporting Actress.

Genoveva Umeh celebrates AMVCA win.

In her post, she wrote;

“It’s a gift to make a career out of your passions. I’m living proof of this and could not have done this without everyone who supported me since my move to Lagos in 2018, this is our win! Thank you everyone for your warm messages .. may Favour always find you”

Genoveva Umeh has been in the movie industry for a hot minute, with roles in movies like Far From Home, A Tr**e Called Judah, and a host of other movies.

She has starred in a lot of good movies in less than ten years of being in the movie industry, and this has helped to skyrocket her career.

A lot of young actors have hit the movie scene recently, and they all seem to be doing well for themselves.

One of the pioneers of featuring young actors in movies is Ruth Kadiri. She owns a movie production company, and she features a lot of young and upcoming acts.

Earlier this year, one of the most consistent actors in her movies bought his first car, and she took to Instagram to celebrate the huge win.

While Ruth Kadiri may be doing well for herself as a producer, it hasn’t stopped her from encountering a few hitches. Not too long ago, she was engaged in a silent online war with Omoni Oboli, and she claimed that the actress was buying likes and ruining the ratings of artists she uses in her own movies. The silent battle came to an end with no known truce.

Apart from Ruth Kadiri and Omoni Oboli, several other actors have resorted to uploading movies on YouTube. Bimbo Ademoye, Regina Daniels, Uche Montana, and many others are now championing the YouTube scene with their movies.
