“He has been in the industry for over 75 years” Mr Latin speaks on celebrating Charles Olumo Agbako

TAMPAN to celebrate Baba Agbako

Veteran Nollywood actor and Theatre Arts and Motions Pictures Practitioners in Nigeria (TAMPAN) president, Bolaji Amusan, popularly known as Mr Latin, has spoken about why the association is celebrating Alhaji Abdulsalam Sanyaolu, otherwise known as Charles Olumo Agbako.

Speaking with newsmen during the birthday celebration at Abeokuta, Ogun State, Mr Latin said clocking 100 years is a rare privilege worth celebrating.

He told the media that Agbako has been in the Nollywood industry for over 75 years, stating the veterans are the pathfinders of Nollywood.

Mr Latin also revealed that the association have put certain plans in place to honour and celebrate practitioners in the industry.

Muyiwa Ademola makes urgent demand from GWR as Charles Olumo Agbako clocks 100

Recall that Muyiwa Ademola made an urgent demand of the Guinness World Records to issue a certificate to Charles Olumo when he clocked 100.

The veteran actor shared a video on his Instagram page celebrating his senior colleague. He urged the Guinness World Records to award Charles Olumo Agbako as the oldest and most agile Nigerian film actor.

“Unarguably, Baba should be the oldest and most agile Nigerian film actor at 100 years!
@guinnessworldrecords, we are expecting your certificate, no need to write you ahead. What a special grace.
Happy Birthday Once Again Charly Agbako. Your heart is filled with raw gold. Wishing you joy and good health sir.”

The shared video captured another thespian, Idowu Philips, popularly known as Mama Rainbow, accompanied by a band of singers to celebrate Agbako’s 100th birthday.
