“Elder wey mumu” – Paul Okoye slams APC chieftain Joe Igbokwe for weighing into his beef with his twin brother, Peter Okoye

Award-winning music star Paul Okoye has replied to All Progressive Congress APC chieftain Joe Igbokwe for weighing in on his beef with his twin brother, Peter Okoye.

Joe Igbokwe had expressed shame at how two twin brothers can’t work together, love one another, trust each other, forgive each other, manage their wives and all. He noted how their wives couldn’t even help them resolve their beef as he questioned if there was an elder in their family or relatives that could help them settle things.

He stated that their childish behaviour is an example of success without brains and education without character.

Taking to his Instagram story to reply to him, Paul called him an elder that is mumu. He admonished him to focus on the country that he contributed to its destruction as people are hungry.

Kemi Filani reported in June last year, controversial blogger Stella Dimokokorkus alleged that there was a brewing war between the Psquare brothers and their elder brother, Jude Okoye, because of the joint funds being allegedly diverted by Jude Okoye.

She claimed that an insider told her that a company wanted to acquire the music catalogue comprising the PSquare works. Still, their conditions led to the unveiling of different secrets about what was happening to their finance. She also claimed that the EFCC was involved in the issue, and Jude Okoye was detained in their custody before interference from the NFF President Amaju Pinnick.

Confirming it, Paul took to his Instagram page to rejoice after getting clearance from the commission. He made it known that he wasn’t a thief but made his money through good music. The singer announced that he was returning to making music as he promised to release new music.

In a recent interview, he opened up on his relationship with his twin brother, recounting how Peter got him and their older brother, Jude Okoye, arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC in December 2023.

Luckily for him, after a thorough investigation conducted by the commission, he was declared innocent of all the allegations levelled against him. Paul also confirmed that Peter was the one who arrested their older brother, Jude Okoye.

The beef between the brothers is coming barely two years after their bitter fallout. Recall that in December 2021, the internet went wild as Psquare put aside their differences after five years of feuding. The news of their reconciliation broke out and was on the lips of many for weeks after they followed each other on all social media platforms and were seen hanging out together.
