“Never judge a pain you have never been through” – Ubi Franklin reacts to Davido and Sophia Momodu’s bitter custody battle

Talent manager and friend of music star Davido, Ubi Franklin, has reacted to his bitter custody battle with his first babymama, Sophia Momodu.

Kemi Filani reported that following Davido’s relationship with his now wife, Chioma, he and Sophia have been embroiled in a bitter custody battle for their 8-year-old daughter. A few days before his wedding, Davido had filed a suit, seeking joint custody of his daughter, as he claimed Sophia was denying him access to her and extorting money from him. Sophia had responded to the suit, debunking his claims, as she revealed that Davido had never made any attempt to meet with Imade and had abandoned her because she refused to have sex with him.

In new reports from their ongoing custody battle, Sophia had filed a 102-paragraph affidavit to oppose the singer seeking joint custody of their daughter, citing reasons such as the death of his son, Ifeanyi, his controversial lifestyle and his love for using their daughter to get back at her as reasons for opposing him.

Taking to his Instagram story, Ubi told those weighing into the drama never to judge a pain that they have never been through. He noted how the fatherhood struggle isn’t easy as he prayed for God’s blessings and strength.

“Never judge a pain you have never been through. This fatherhood struggle is not easy; we pray for God’s blessings and strength”.

Recall that Ubi Franklin had gone through a similar experience as he and one of his babymamas, Sandra Iheuwa, were embroiled in a bitter child custody battle. In 2022, the two had engaged in social media drama after their audio conversation leaked online, where Ubi had questioned why Sandra, who was in the US to deliver her fourth child, had left their daughter in Nigeria.

Ubi had asked to see his daughter, and she informed him that all her kids were with her parents, which infuriated Ubi. Addressing the leaked audio, Ubi revealed that he was advised by many to ignore them for his daughter’s sake while stating that his daughter was the reason why he didn’t post a lot of drafted stuff about his baby mama, which would blow people’s minds, and had been entertaining her mother’s rubbish.

The two have since reconciled, as last year, Sandra had playfully tackled him on their daughter’s birthday for trying to steal her spotlight. She had even hailed him after he stormed Atlanta, calling him the best daddy to her daughter.
