Nollywood actor Uche Maduagwu has slammed his colleague, Yul Edochie, for claiming to create the trending name ‘Nwunye Odogwu’.

Kemi Filani reported on Saturday that Yul had credited himself as the originator of the name as he noted how, in 2022, he launched the name by using it to praise his second wife, Judy Austin. Now, the name has become popular, and many have adopted it.

He noted how those still looking for a husband are using the name as he prayed for them and admonished Nigerians to give him credit.

Reacting to it, Uche noted how his colleagues are creating wedding anniversaries while he is creating names. Advising him, he told Yul to go to church for prayers.

“Others are creating Wedding Anniversary. See wetin you dey create? Go to church for prayers”.

This isn’t the first time Yul is laying claim to creating a name. Early this year, Yul had claimed to be the originator of the popular slang for the year, “No gree for anybody”.

Explaining how he revealed that people had been telling him that he was the one who started the slogan, and when he investigated the matter, he believed them, hence, why he is demanding credit for being the originator of the popular slogan.

Last month, Uche Maduagwu lambasted Yul over his Father’s Day message to men, advising them against sleeping with people’s wives.

Uche pointed out the hypocrisy at which Yul was sleeping with a married woman, Judy, before she became his second wife, as he stated that the actor needed church prayers and gave kudos to his estranged wife, May, for enduring with him.
