Do2dtun says begging is now hard

On-air personality Do2dtun had a piece of advise to share to musicians on how to maintain longevity in the music scene, and it was quite an interesting read.

In his post, Do2dtun wrote;

”3 (three) types of people your music need to appeal to in whatever age bracket in their demography Kids , Women, Eld*rly.

If these 3 categories of people can rock to your song unhinged at the same time then you have a certified hit song

Your music needs to move with the time.
No matter how much money you spend
on it, make sure it’s a rejuvenation not a
rebirth. Rebirth is expensive

Talent and Personality in music must work together. The former can stand the test of time but it is not timeless without personality. The latter is a flash in the pan without a talent;

If your music can’t bolt; let it Uber. It needs to move with an effort to build into a legacy not to retain a lost glory.

A music critic can be paid to give a good review but the real music critic are the listeners. You can’t fool them”

Do2dtun’s statement on music moving with time brings to mind a recent occurrence, whereby Comedian and reality star DeeOne recently shaded the feuding Psquare music group, stating that their time has passed in the music industry.

DeeOne’s reasoning was that Psquare’s reign in the music industry is over, and instead of trying to release individual songs because of their beef, they should allow Nigerians refer to their music only when throwback songs are called for.

On the matter of longevity in music, legendary singer 2Face Idibia has been at the top of his game since the early 2000’s, right from his time in the music group Plantashun Boys.

Although 2Face Idibia has spent over two decades in the music scene, his songs still get a lot of positive reception, and he is often featured on songs by new age artists.
