Hug transformer – Wike slams people criticizing him for working in Tinubu’s govt

The Minister of the FCT, Abuja, Nyesom Wike, has insisted he is happy working under President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress government.

Wike is the only opposition member in Tinubu’s cabinet.

The former Rivers state governor is a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Speaking during the PDP Congress in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, Wike said he remains unapologetic about working for the Tinubu administration, despite the criticisms following his appointment.

According to the minister, he has no regrets about his decision and is satisfied with his position in the current administration.

He said, “We are fully in government. We are fully in Tinubu’s government.

“I have no regrets about it, and I will continue to be there. Anybody who is angry should go and hug a transformer.”

Wike’s appointment as FCT Minister sparked discussions, with many suggesting that his ministerial role was a reward for his contribution to Tinubu’s victory in Rivers State during the 2023 presidential election.
