England vs Netherlands: Starting XIs for Euro 2024 semi-final clash

As expected, Gareth Southgate has made just one change from the side that edged past Switzerland on penalties, with Marc Guehi returning from suspension to replace Ezri Konsa.

Kieran Tripper keeps his place at wing-back – despite calls for the fit-again Luke Shaw to come into the XI – meaning he is tasked with keeping Denzel Dumfries, Netherlands’ marauding right-back, quiet.

Harry Kane is once again trusted to lead the line, despite appearing to be operating someway short of his best.

Ivan Toney, Cole Palmer and Trent Alexander-Arnold – who all scored in the shoot-out win over Switzerland – are among the replacements.
