Newcastle vs Tottenham: Starting XIs for 2024/2025 EPL clash

Micky van de Ven is not in the Tottenham squad this afternoon.

The centre-back has played in both of Spurs’ two matches so far and is replaced by Radu Dragusin.

The only other change from their 4-0 victory over Everton in the Premier League last weekend is Pape Sarr coming in for Brennan Johnson.

Sours are without strikers Dominic Solanke and Richarlison.

Solanke is still out with an ankle injury and Richarlison sustained a muscle issue this week, but Rodrigo Bentancur is available after passing concussion protocols.

Heung-Min Son starts up front again.

Newcastle have made five changes from the team who beat Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup in midweek.

Kieran Trippier and Lewis Hall drop to the bench, with Lloyd Kelly and Tino Livramento back in the team. Emil Krafth continues at centre half with Fabian Schar suspended.

Sandro Tonali drops to the bench and Joe Willock is injured, so Bruno Guimaraes and Sean Longstaff come back in.

Miguel Almiron drops to the bench for Anthony Gordon, while Harvey Barnes keeps his place after coming off the bench to set up the equaliser at Bournemouth last weekend.
