Transfer: Ancelotti reveals why Real Madrid didn’t sign Osimhen

Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti, has opened up on why the LaLiga club chose not to chase Victor Osimhen last summer.

Osimhen was linked with a number of top teams around Europe after a stunning campaign with Napoli.

The Super Eagles striker scored 26 goals in 32 outings to help the Partenopei win the Scudetto.

Real Madrid lost their talismanic forward, Karim Benzema, who left the club for Saudi outfit, Al Ittihad.

Ancelotti said signing Jude Bellingham has compensated for Benzema’s departure.

The Italian told Radio Serie A: “No (we didn’t sign Osimhen) because I think the club thought that Benzema’s absence could be remedied by purchasing (Jude) Bellingham.”
